This site was created in 2025 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the AT&T CONVERSANT 1 product that became available in late 1985. The CONVERSANT product line would be Lucent’s IVR platform until the introduction of the Avaya Interactive Response platform in the early 2000s. CONVERSANT platforms were so reliable that some may have still been in service when this site was created in 2025.
In preparation for reunion events, in-person and virtual, to reconnect with the friends and colleagues whose lives & careers were significantly touched by CONVERSANT, this collection of material was gathered from many of those individuals.
